For those not in the healthcare or IT professions, what is your interest in this course?
Both CTCP and CTC courses have a required one-time hands-on lab. Successful completion will earn you the title of either Certified Telemedicine Clinical Presenter (CTCP) and Technology Professional OR Certified Telehealth Coordinator (CTC) and Technology Professional. The on-line component for the CTCP or CTC is a prerequisite to the Technology Professional Certificate. Recipients of the Technology Professional Certificate will gain basic competencies in using and troubleshooting videoconferencing technology and peripherals in the clinical setting; and installation and operation of remote patient monitoring equipment in the home setting. This training will provide participants with hands-on experience in using state-of-the-art technologies.
The on-site training normally takes place at the training laboratory housed at the New College Institute in Martinsville, VA. Several sessions will be offered throughout the year. Those who have successfully completed the online component may choose a date that is convenient to them. For the convenience of Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center Telehealth Summit attendees, it is being offered in two three-hour blocks (Tuesday April 1 from 2PM - 5PM and continued on Wednesday April 2 from 8:30AM - 11:30AM) following the Summit in Fredericksburg, VA.
